Don't want to surf the site
for a digital copier without direction? First, you can choose the category that
fits your needs by copy speed segment or output type (color, B&W, wide format, etc.)
in the left panel on the left side of this page. But if you have questions
call a Copier Geeks pro at 866-611-2679 - let's talk!
Warranty Procedure for (16+ CPM)
Business Copiers, Color Copiers, and Wide Format Copiers
When you receive your copier ,
immediately unwrap and inspect it for any physical damage or missing trays,
etc. THIS IS A MUST. It is the buyer's responsibility as a consumer to
notify us immediately if a power cord is missing, or a tray, etc.; we do
not ship out missing items after three days receipt of goods has passed.
If you notice any major dents, broken Large Capacity Tray covers, etc.,
make immediate exception to the damage on the truck carrier's bill of
lading that they ask you to sign. Also, your freight rate, when shipped
via North American Van Lines or United Van Lines, includes first floor delivery or via an elevator. If
stairs are present, buyer must pay any extra charges associated directly to
the carrier. It is usually about $250.00. We assume no liability whatever if this is necessary.
Remember title to the copy machine passes from CopierGeeks to the buyer as
soon as it is paid for and leaves our shipping dock (see Disclaimers). You
can put in a claim for shipping damage with the carrier (www.unitedvanlines.com or www.stidelivers.com for North American)
and upon inspection by their claims adjuster (usually within 72 hours)
they will, at their sole discretion, either repair or replace the damaged
equipment at no charge to the buyer.
This is a very infrequent problem. Still, be aware buyer must take
responsibility for filing proper copy machine claim paperwork with carrier.
Note: used copiers and refurbished copiers can have imperfect panels
with blemishes and/or minor, small, mostly not noticeable dents. Only new
and newly remanufactured products have perfect, completely re-coated, same
as brand-new panels.
Moreover, copiers are sensitive to vibration and shifting in transit.
Sometimes, a copier will show an error code when a customer receives our
copier due to shifting in transit. Or, they have attached a finisher
incorrectly or not plugged in an accessory item correctly. Other times
a sensor or paper roller may pop out of place. Or operator error causes
other issues. In short, not major issues.
It is not uncommon for adjustments to be required by a technician receipt
of goods. WE ASSUME NO LIABILITY WHATEVER FOR THESE ISSUES. It is the buyer's
responsibility to pay a local, qualified technician to take care of these
minor issues and to make adjustments in service mode if it is necessary. We
can assist in help finding a local technician. There is virtually nil
downside in a $80-$250 (depending on location, travel times for a tech, etc.)
service call considering you have saved thousands on the hardware.
If this downside is an issue, we highly recommend you buy a new copier -
but they, too, can have the same issues. Again, sensitive digital electronic
copiers have small sensors that can shift in transit. Be aware of that.
You have a ninety-day mail-in depot
parts and labor warranty for sub-15 copy per minute copy machines.
Our 20+ CPM (copies per minute) used copiers, wide format copiers and color
copiers include a 3-month major parts warranty unless otherwise noted
in the item description. Misuse of product and ignorance of our normal
procedures, or failure to provide requested information, voids all warranties
immediately. It is the consumer's responsibility to give our support department
information they request, such as serial numbers, meter readings, etc. Again,
failure to do so negates warranties.
The warranty does not include labor and it does not include consumable
supplies nor preventive maintenance parts and supplies per the manufacturer's
service book description of materials. Parts included in warranty are
major parts: scanners, clutches, circuit boards and motors.
Parts related to preventive maintenance schedules, such as copier fuser rollers,
rubber rollers, heater lamps, scanner lamps, ADF belts, copier corotron wires,
transfer corona units, picker fingers, or any other copier part defined by
the copier manufacturer as a preventive maintenance item, are not included.
The buyer is responsible for hiring a local installer to attach a finisher
or sorter, if buyer so desires. It's at most a $100.00 expense. Other than
that, equipment is delivered ready to use with a simple plug in. Attaching
a finisher or sorter, in most cases, requires nothing more than a screwdriver
and is very simple to do. We can assist over the phone or fax instructions
and save you $80 - $150 for a one hour labor charge for a task that will
take a tech 15 minutes. The warranty does not cover copier malfunctions
and copier parts damage that occurs due to operator error, misuse of
product, and environmental conditions such as water damage, vandalism or
acts of God. The warranty is void outside the continental U.S. and in
Alaska and Hawaii.
Our industry-leading warranty for new copiers, whether newly built or
newly remanufactured, is 3 years from date of purchase. It covers copier
circuit boards, motors, clutches, and the scanner. It does not cover
any other items for your new copier, wide format copier or color copier.
And it does not cover damage due to misuse of product.
DURING THE 3-MONTH MAJOR PARTS WARRANTY FOR USED COPIERS
Again, buyer has a 3-month parts warranty
for used copiers, wide format copiers and color copiers, unless otherwise
noted on your Copiers and More invoice. Should you experience a mechanical
problem your local service rep must call Copiers and More and speak to a
service coordinator at 954-581-4335, extension 23, between 8:00 am and
5:00 PM Eastern time, before we can send a replacement part covered by
copier warranty. Many problems can be fixed remotely by phone with copier
diagnostic codes on your used copier, wide format copier or color copier.
Should we determine parts are needed we will send them overnight delivery
after our receipt of the defective part. Any deviation from this policy
will release Copiers and More from all warranty obligations. Failure to use
a surge suppressor with any machine also voids the warranty.
COPIER MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS
Copiers and More highly recommends that
our customers solicit local service contract quotes as soon as possible
and contract a local provider before warranty expiration. We can certainly
assist in that. Your local service manager wants your service contract
business. For your own protection beware the national service or extended
warranty offers at super-low prices that some of our competitors advertise for
2 year service agreements or even three year service agreements. They are
selling you a third-party insurance warranty designed for retail channel
printers. That's like buying maintnenace for your business copier from your
local VCR repair shop! Purchase your maintenance from your local provider.
Don't buy it from your equipment supplier hundreds of miles away. And if they
do sell a contract administered by a reputable local copier service provider,
you are paying a broker fee in the form of cost per copy that gets kicked
back to the out of state seller. Cut out the middle man and buy your contract
direct. Our philosphy is we will save the buyer a lot of cash on the hardware,
make a few bucks ourselves, and rather than sticking our hand in the buyer's
pocket for maintenance funds see that they get a local contract at a good price.
Just keep in mind any copier can, and most likely will, malfunction between
routine scheduled maintenance calls. By accepting your payment for a service
contract, the service provider is guaranteeing your copier will operate to
manufacturer's specifications while covered by their contract.
By offering copier service, the buyer's local service provider
has warranted to the buyer their copier will operate at manufacturer's
specifications for which Copiers and More cannot be held responsible. Copiers and More
assumes no responsibility nor liability for buyer claims of defect in copy
equipment sold by Copiers and More and serviced by another concern. That
liability is by and between the local servicing company and the buyer.
Copiers and More will assist with any major parts (motors, scanner, circuit
boards, and clutches and not heater lamps, scanner lamps, preventive maintenance
parts) needed during the warranty period WITH PRIOR APPROVAL OF OUR SERVICE DEPARTMENT.
Any deviation voids the buyer's warranty.
Sales Policy
Accepted methods of payment in the U.S. are
prepay check with order, COD (for items under $499), Amex, MC,
Visa, and Discover credit cards through Papyal or Google Checkout.
We do not accept international credit cards. Orders presented with international
ship to destinations will not be processed unless we receive a bank check payable
in U.S. funds to Copiers and More (Copier Geeks LLC), at the address listed on
our Contact Us page. Wire transfers are accepted provided we have the proper,
verifiable company information for the buyer.
Copiers and More stands behind every product we
sell. Remedy through warranty and prompt customer service is our first priority.
But it is limited to hardware issues and does not include software related
support and/or installation of a copier on a computer network. That can be found
at the manufacturer's web site. All drivers, download instructions and
how to links can be obtained at the manufacturer's web site.
Our used, refurbished, demonstrator and
repossessed business volume equipment includes our standard 3-month parts warranty,
unless otherwise noted on your invoice. It does not include labor. All one need do is
have their service rep contact us with the parts request; they do not have
carte blanche rights and must have our approval. Once we are in overnight receipt
of the defective part, at service company expense, and confirm our identification
markings, we will overnight the part or board. Parts do not include consumable
supplies, rubber rollers or fuser rollers.
Sending an email to support@copiergeeks.biz
is a quick way to initiate a service response. Also, you can fax a proof of purchase,
along with your daytime phone number, to 954-583-3325, and a support rep will
contact you within 8 business hours.
Sales Tax
Copiers and More must charge sales tax orders
shipped to the following states:
Refund Policy:
Refunds are available for a period of 14 days
from date of invoice for copiers and printers less than 15 copies per minute.
Business volume equipment, which includes those copiers and printers 16+ copies
per minute, whether new or used, do not include return for refund privileges.
We ship quality business volume merchandise whether new, demonstrator or
refurbished. We do not ship cosmetically poor, severely dented and discolored
equipment. If we have, send us a digital picture and we will make it right because
a mistake has been made or damage has occured in transit and we will rectify it.
THE ONLY REMEDY FOR BUSINESS VOLUME EQUIPMENT ISSUES IS THROUGH THE NORMAL COURSE
OF WARRANTY. We sell these special purchase items cheaply and we do not have return
privileges with our suppliers. ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND THERE ARE NO RETURN OR
REFUND PRIVILEGES. Should a customer demand remedy by refund for less than
15 cpm products, refund will be affected less the freight cost in to the buyer.
Merchandise will be returned at the expense of the buyer. A 15% restocking fee
applies to equipment returned non-defective. We will correct any repair issues
on receipt of goods but if refund is demanded these rules will apply.
Again, it is absolutely imperative that you
unwrap and inspect your business volume copier in the presence of the United Van
Lines driver before signing off on the shipping paperwork. If there are noticeable
major dents, or broken platen glass, or a sorter is damaged, make exception to
the damage and contact the carrier immediately. No buyer has the right to simply
refuse a copier. We remind you title to the equipment has passed to the buyer
when it leaves our dock and it is now the buyer's property. We can help with
filing a claim. Just call us! If a copier is refused, this will automatically
result in a restocking fee of 20% and shipping will not be refunded both in to
customer's site and freight back to Copiers and More will be deducted
from the refund amount.
Small office/home office items must be in its original box,
be properly packaged, and have all
accessories including supplies. If the copier is received damaged in transit due
to poor packaging the customer will be billed, and agrees to pay, for repair or
replace to Copiers and More. If the item is has any missing supplies will
result in a charge back to the purchaser, deducted from the refund amount and no
refunds will be made for shipping amount.
AGAIN, ALL SALES OF BUSINESS VOLUME COPIERS
AND PRINTERS OVER 15 CPM ARE FINAL. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS ON THESE
ITEMS. WE WILL REMEDY BY WARRANTY ONLY. BUYER ACKNOWLEDGES THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE
FOR CONTRACTING FOR A SERVICE AGREEMENT IN THEIR LOCAL AREA AND THAT ANY CLAIMS
FOR DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, NOT AS ADVERTISED, AND OTHER COMPLAINTS ARE NOT APPLICABLE
DUE TO THE PARAMETERS HEREIN AND THE OPPORTUNITY BUY THEY HAVE MADE FROM COPIERS
AND MORE.
We do not refund opened and/or used or
partially used supplies. The only supplies refund possible is those supplies
returned in an unopened box. There are no variations of this policy.
Customers must return merchandise freight
prepaid after receiving a return authorization number. No shipments are accepted
without an RA number.
All sales are final for any goods sold.
A 20% restocking fee applies to all refused
shipments and return of non-defective merchandise. Once onsite repair or
exchange of a defective small office/home office copier-printer (less than 16 cpm)
has been accepted as remedy by the purchaser, buyer loses all rights to refund.
The only remedy available to the purchaser at this point is repair.
Delivery Time:
Please allow 3-5 business days for receipt of
SOHO products, printers less than 12 ppm and fax products. Allow 7-12 business
days for processing and logistical arrangements to be made for the shipment of
color copiers, production copiers, production printers and 30+ ppm laser
printers. These items are shipped via United Van Lines and include
inside delivery. We aren't shipping widgets in a box on a shelf - these are copy
machines that require instpection, test, repair if required, and as we are
continually processing copiers as orders come through our system, we can get behind.
Thank you, in advance, for
your cooperation!
