Even reading in the documents is lightning-fast, just one second per page. So users can take their documents straight back to their desks. The actual transmission itself is also carried out with impressive speed of 33.6 Kbs modems, with a standard page reaching the addressee in a mere three seconds.
Thanks to a multi-tasking function, the fax machine can print out and read the next documents in whilst it is still transmitting or receiving.
An automatic document feed of up to 50 pages and a 85-page storage capacity - optionally expandable to 740 pages - reduce waiting times at the machine.
Messages can be grouped for direct or timer controlled collective transmission, which then only requires one dialing process.
As far as ease of use is concerned, the Pitney Bowes 2030 can hardly be bettered. Eight programs, 40 one-touch and 160 abbreviated dialing numbers virtually work as an electronic address book; using the multiple transmission facility, up to 272 addressees can be reached quickly and easily. A navigator key takes the user through all the machine functions and its clearly designed menus. As standard, the fax machine is fitted with a paper cassette for 500 sheets. Optional 250 and 500 sheet cassettes increase the paper capacity up to 1.250 sheets.
